Christmas in Saundersfoot and Tenby

Pembrokeshire is a wonderful place to be during the festive season and Puffin Cottage Holidays still has dates available in our self-catering holiday cottages and apartments over the Christmas and New Year period. Our self-catering cottage at Hanbury Lodge has just had a new log burner installed so you can enjoy a cosy family Christmas in the beautiful Pembrokeshire countryside.

The festive season kicks off with the Christmas lights being switched on in Saundersfoot and Tenby at the beginning of December. The festivities continue with Tenby's annual Winter Carnival in the second week of December and, over in Saundersfoot, the famous 3-day St Nicholas Market starts on Friday 3rd December. This annual market has become more and more popular over the years with crafts, food, drink and local produce on offer as well as a Santa's Grotto.

From Monday 29th November until Saturday 4th December, the amateur dramatics group, Saundersfoot Footlights, hold their panto week with shows at the Regency Hall in Saundersfoot.

Santa's reindeers fly into Folly Farm on weekends throughout November and December from where Santa delivers presents from his grotto whilst his reindeers rest on the farm.

Boxing Day sees Tenby celebrating its' 40th Boxing Day Swim which starts at 11.00am on the town's North Beach, whilst the New Year's Day Swim in Saundersfoot sees hundreds of brave swimmers running into the icy waters!

To end 2010, Tenby and Saundersfoot celebrate New Year's Eve in style with fireworks, music and the countdown to midnight!
