Saundersfoot Winter Wonderland

Saundersfoot will be turned into a Winter Wonderland once again this weekend, 2nd - 4th December, with the Annual Saundersfoot Christmas Market.

Over the last few years the market has gone from strength to strength and continues to attract visitors to the seaside village. The indoor market takes place on the sea-front harbour and is housed in a heated marquee with up to 60 stalls showcasing the best local food, drinks, gifts, crafts and more.

Cooking demonstrations by celebrity chefs Angela Gray and Anthony Evans as well as local chef Arno Tiesing (of The Mulberry, Saundersfoot), will offer warm winter food ideas and there will be plenty of Pembrokeshire produce to taste and buy.

At 6pm on the Friday, Santa Claus will arrive to turn on the Saundersfoot Christmas lights and he will be returning over the weekend in the magical Santas Grotto.

The market is open from 10am - 7pm on the Friday, 10am - 8pm on the Friday and 10am - 5pm on the Friday with local duo Sandalwood providing festive music for the event. Unlimited admission across the weekend is £2.00 per person (kids under 10 go free when accompanied by an adult) and daily raffles will be held with the chance to win seasonal hampers.

So pop on down to taste, buy and experience the best that Pembrokeshire has to offer!

Puffin Cottage Holidays still have limited accommodation available for the weekend so contact us or visit our website for more information on our Pembrokeshire Holiday Cottages.

Hollywood in Pembrokeshire (again)

A Pembrokeshire beach has once again been chosen as the backdrop for a Hollywood blockbuster. Filming of Snow White and the Huntsman has been taking place on Marloes Sands with the Pembrokeshire weather holding out and providing the perfect weather conditions for the cast and crew which included Twilight's Kristen Stewart and actor Chris Hemsworth.

The stunning coastline of Pembrokeshire has been getting worldwide recognition over the past few years with films such as Robin Hood and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows also showcasing the spectacular coastal scenery of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.

The Pembrokeshire town of Tenby has also recently been hitting the national television screens with Channel 4's Grand Designs following the renovation of the former lifeboat station into a unique holiday home and BBC's Don't Tell the Bride following the seaside themed wedding of a local couple.

For anyone thinking of visiting this beautiful area for a holiday or short-break, Puffin Cottage Holidays offer a range of self-catering holiday cottages which are perfectly located for exploring the best of Pembrokeshire. Contact us for more information or to make a booking.
